I am sure this has been asked before but I have tried to do a search and can't quite find and answer that fits my problem.

I am using the latest version of Traktor Pro and a Xone 2D. I am trying to map to one of the top rotary encoders to use as a loop function. So to press it will be activate/deactivate, I have managed this no problem and to scroll left/right decreases/increases the loop size. This is the bit I'm having problems with. Using a loop size selector control I can manage to set it to decrease but not both. Turning the encoder each separate way seems to be two different midi notes but I can't see where to differentiate between each note and the different directions.

I am also having the same problem mapping the same type of encoder to the browser list and browser tree functions. I can get it to scroll up but it seems it can't get it to scroll down. Interestingly I have just moved over from a 4D and had the same set up but didn't seem to have this problem.

    Can anyone offer any advice?

Thank you for your time in advance!!

Traktor can only increase or decrease in one command. If turning your encoder sends two midi notes when turned clockwise (note A) and anti clockwise (note B), you need to use a modifier to map increase and decrease to the encoder. For example M1=0 when turn clockwise and M1=1 when turned anti clockwise.

Wow that was a lightening quick reply, thanks!

I will look into modifiers then.

Soooooooo,I figured this out. I set the "type of controller" to "button" instead of "encoder", this allows you to set it as either "inc" or "dec" in interaction mode. I then duplicated the Control and set one to inc and one to dec. Problem solved for both looping and playlist navigation.

Heyhey, same issue here, using a xone k2. your doesnt fix doesnt work for me unfortunately, did you also work with modifiers? For me Traktor does seem to read turning in different directions as different midi signals...

on a Xone K2 you can use these settings for the In called "Loop Size Selector":

edit: the modifier is used because the rotary does something else when i press shift
