Hey everyone, I’m trying to build exactly what I need for my Maschine Jam to control traktor. Yes, I have the older promoteus mappings. I bought the newer one, but there’s some sort of delay in getting responses from their site right now - so they aren’t downloadable.

even still, what I want out of a mapping is far simpler than Promoteus. I started programming my own, but the process in traktor is infinitely more frustrating than the process in ableton or serato- and there’s clearly a gap in my education/knowledge. So... I’m offering to pay someone for their knowledge. It could be a 15-30 min zoom call in which you help me with some specific questions related to mappings, or I could submit my list of requests for functionality and we could agree upon a fee.

your call, if you are interested. I’m a hospital administrator and I don’t have a ton of time these days (Bc covid 19 sucks) - and music is my therapy. I’m trying to use my jam alongside my push2 for a very compact & very powerful hybrid setup, bc those two controllers actually fit in my bag that goes with me between weeks in the hospital and weekends at my little getaway spot.

I’ve been on traktor since it was called FS1.0, very experienced in computer music. I just never tried to dig into midi mappings in traktor, or other apps, beyond “midi learn” (the simple button) in other apps.

thanks in advance for any assistance!

I just got a Maschine Jam and am planning to make a simple mapping to control 2 decks in Traktor. This would be the most basic functions like play/pause, cue points control, EQ controls and a simple control over two pre-set FX units. As I haven't found any mappings doing this I need to start from scratch and work out how to mapping on Jam works and start to draw a schedule on how the mapping should work. I can not give you any time table because I have S4's to work with Traktor and the main reason for buying the Jam was to learn Maschine. The Traktor mapping is just a fun project to see how far I will manage to take it.You can let me know if you feel like there should be any functions that you think you can not do without. To give you an idea of time needed for mapping from scratch: it took me about a year to make a FX mapping for my F1. This was done on and of working on it and starting two times over because during the proces I learned more about mapping and my ideas changed on what I wanted. I use CMDR made by dj_estrela so mapping the Jam should be a little faster because I expect less changes in ideas.
If you have a more urgent need I would recommand contacting the mapping service like dj-estrela suggested.

Thanks for your advice, I just started learning mapping and it was important for me to hear some thoughts from more experienced ones. Back in college, I looked for company reviews and services like papersowl.com to get help with these kinds of assignments. But now, when I need this knowledge to do my job, I have to study on my own.
