Yeah, but you cant hear the notes in the software unless u click on the keyboard side. You know what I mean? Its counter productive to work on your note events and have to keep bouncing back to the keyboard side just to hear them.

They definitely need to implement this... My friend and I are both MK3 users. Even though I can do editing from the hardware and play the keys a little, from time to time especially if I'm working on something complex, being able to hear the note preview on the piano roll (or even seeing the note drawn on the midi event) makes a big difference. The MK3 is a hybrid machine, I bet 90% of the users work hybridlike with it, don't abandon the 90% to appease the 10% when you can do both.

Couldn't agree more with this thread.

I got a KK61 Mk2 keyboard and initially learned to use Maschine Essentials because I had no other options. Lack of preview in Piano roll as you move notes about or select multiple notes was something I could tell was bad without even having used other tools.

I then did the 90 day trial of Ableton, which just expired yesterday. I saw the announcement that Maschine Essentials had been updated to allow clips and was excited to give it a try with it being great timing just as I can't use Ableton any longer.

Disappointed to see such simple functionality has still not been added. It doesn't need to be mandatory, just have it as a configuration that you can turn on in the sparse settings pages. That way it won't impact those pros who know exactly what they're doing but will help everyone else.

There's potential for this to be a really good DAW but as it stands, it's too limited. I'm waiting on a discount for Ableton now and will buy it once it comes down in price a bit (hoping for a Black Friday deal or something!). The fact I'm resigned to spending £300+ on software is a sign that Maschine doesn't cut it at the moment.

Please can you implement this - this thread should be enough evidence to see that it would be incredibly popular!

Yes, really disappointed it was not implemented in the new update. Why don’t NI add this feature ? It’s so basic. Hell, I would willingly pay for it!! That may make them sit up and take notice?

This feature is LONG overdue and is standard in nearly every other music production software.
