MIDI out to access Interface/Sound Card MIDI

I'd like the ability to route Maschine's MIDI out to the MIDI out on my interface. It'd be nice to be able to utilize my external instruments from Maschine in stand-alone mode without having to re-patch MIDI Cables.

 

How about getting a MIDI interface with multiple outs?
That would allow you to do what you need.

 

I have an interface with multiple outs (BLA Mod 002). I just don't see a way to access them thru Maschine in stand-alone mode. Selecting MIDI out from Maschine selects the port on the back of the unit. I would have to re-patch midi cables to use external devices. As far as I know, there's no option to select the MIDI out from the 002.

If there's a way that I'm ignorant of, please share.

You can activate several MIDI outs on Maschine, right? So, if you set Your interface to "on" in the MIDI Tab, You should be able to use it. ´ only problem is, when you select MIDI out on a sound, Maschine sends MIDI to ALL the outs. My workaround is to assign separate MIDI channels to all the gear I use with Maschine. It works...

 

Thank! I never even thought to look there. I just assumed since the MIDI out tab didn't list a device destination that it didn't exist. This totally works. I feel a little newbish but grateful for the info.

I just assumed you only had the MIDI on the unit based on your question.
Glad you responded about having a multi-out interface.

Also don't be afraid to click on things to see what features are located there.
