Does this actually work for anyone? For me the params just jump from min to max and back when I try to use either of the relative modes, only absolute works (but is the least useful musically). My understanding of how relative mode should work is it enables the knob to start relative where the param is set to in the patch loaded, rather than in an absolute position, which would cause the param to 'jump' in the plugin.

The program that receives midi has to support it, in what setup you try to use it?

    Midi Relative Mode means:
    • for the sender of the midi messages: send the same value repeatedly when turning the dial in one direction and a different value when turning the dial the opposite direction.
    • for the receiver of the midi messages: each time one of those values shows up increases or decreases the current value for that control by 1.
So, as Uwe303 pointed out, the receiving side also needs to be configured to interpret the received messages as relative mode - assuming that capability exists in the receiving hardware or software.
