midi remote with cubase

hi,
when i use kontakt as vst instrument on cubase i cant assign midi
remote to the knobs, why?

 

Have you tried right-clicking a knob and assigning a MIDI CC or tried letting it auto-detect a controller?

 

yes i have, i right click on the knob and then moves a knob in my nord rack and nothing happen.
when i use kontakt as stand alone the same works fine.
help!

 

Ah ha! I think I know...in Cubase, go into PREFERENCES/MIDI and try changing some of the settings there. By default, Cubase filters out SYSEX - that might be the problem. Also check to see if MIDI Thru is active, and check the Chase Event Filters. I remember I had to really tweak Nuendo to get it to accept the controllers from the Roland XP.

 

its not working.....

ive tried to check the chase events
midi thrugh is checked too
ive unchecked sysex both on record and on midi through.

thing is that cubase that get the information
that is to say that when i move a knob on nord or the modulation on the keyboard you see that the midi in sign flickers

but it just wont get to the knobs in kontakt.

maybe yo have another idea?
