I have recently got a new Mac and I'm in the process of moving everything across to the new machine. Rather than use the migration assistant, I am going for a clean build on this machine. However, this is causing a few problems with tractor scratch pro.

I have copied the program files which sit inside the applications folder. This includes a native instruments folder, which contains Traktor, and there is another folder which contains the service centre.

I have also copied across the native instruments and Traktor folder that sit inside the application support folder inside my library folder.

I think that is most of what I need to carry across to ensure that my key mappings and controller settings are carried across. However, when I opened up Traktor it tells me that I need to activate. When I try to activate it tells me there is no service centre. There is a service centre as you can see in this image. The service centre, however, does not show any reference to anything installed by native instruments.

This screenshot shows what I mean:

What I am looking for is some advice for the best way for me to copy my Traktor Scratch Pro across and retain all the settings (key mappings, controllers etc).

I really don't want to run Migration Assistant on the Mac to achieve this, if at all possible.

OK, so let's try another question:

On a Mac, what are the key folders/files that Traktor needs to run, where settings/libraries are saved etc?

If I know what all of these are, I could try

    a) reinstalling the original app from DVD
    b) updating it to most current build (same too for Service Center)
    c) copying across all of those key files

    That should work, right?

If so, could I get a list somewhere of where all these key files are on my Mac?

    Thanks

Thanks for that link. Just heading out - but will read that later.

To clarify, I'm moving from an old Mac to a new one, rather than from Windows to Mac. Just decided to start with fresh install rather than use Migration Assistant.

Anyway, I'll look at that page later - thanks for passing on :)

    Documents folder

I think the most crucial piece of the transfer is something you probably missed doing.
In the documents folder there is another folder called "Native Instruments". If I recall correctly this folder is the transfer's most essential folder.
