While I understand the necessity and limitations of the Program-List and am thankfull for their import/export-functionality, they are still a major bottle-neck if you want to control MASSIVE (and FM8 etc. by the way) by MIDI.

So a very small addition (a tiny button and a few lines of code) would greatly improve the flexibility:

Make a *merge* Program-List Option ! This would allow you to merge a Program-List into the existing one, meaning that at *empty* entries in the imported file, the *current* Program-List-Entry would not be changed.

This would greatly enhance the possibilities without introducing much of additional complexity. This way you could have a Set of Program-List-*Blocks* which you could easily combine into new variations.

Better yet: make the Program-Lists *editable* by external software (e.g. a XML or plain-text file). There's nothing to hide in there. I know, this would be a more complex change because of integrity issues. Or at least make a way to export the list as plain text, so you can use it in external software.

    thanks

ok, make it even simpler, no button needed, no change of the GUI alltogether, only a few lines of code (and with a few i mean a few, say ~5)

If you *Ctrl-*-Click (or Shift- or Alt-) the Import-Button then merge the Program-List! Thats it, keep it an undocumented feature even, nobody will get hurt.

The same with Export -ProgramList: if Ctrl-Click, then put the plain-text Program-List in the *Clipboard*, so it can be pasted into any Textfile
