    Hey All,
I keep two versions of Traktor running in 'mirror'. The 'master' version is on my Macbook Pro where I set all my beatgrids, loops and all the fine tuning for Traktor. The 'performance/slave' copy is on a much cheaper Windows 7 laptop which i use for gigs due to obvious reasons.
Now, my problem is that I have 11 mp3 tracks that i have setup with loops and beatgrids that I setup on the (master) Macbook. When moving them to the (slave) machine, only 5 (and the same 5 repeatedly) have maintained their grid/loop information and the 'problem' 6 stubbornly lose their settings leaving me no option but to try to do it all again but on the Win7 machine!
I assumed that the grid/loop/cue info was stored within the ID3 data of the mp3 files! Can anyone shed some light on what is happening here? Is there a fix?
Just to let you all know I have removed the files completely from both iTunes AND Traktor on the slave machine and re-imported to both more than once but I get the same result. All is perfect on the master machine.

That's odd, because they were supposed to there. Have you locked the cue points? (where you lock the grids)

    All tracks locked to beatgrid!

Yep, sure did! The same tracks show up with everything fine on the MacBook even after a restart...

    very interesting!

how do you transfer the tracks from one computer to the other? via export playlist function? or do you just transfer the tracks via usb-stick or whateva?

have a closer look at the files: how do they differ?
    - are they all mp3?
    - do the file names contain any special characters or umlauts? (§%&/ äöüß etc.)
    - check also the track tags for that. ALL tags!
    - double check the files... can they be unwanted duplicates?
    - did itunes change the file names?

    Ok guys/gals,
I copy the files in the Traktor folder from one to the other via USB stick. I HAVE just noticed that the problem files have under-scores in their names! I have just removed these from the file names so I'll post as soon as I have tested after dinner! :)

He-hey... I fixed it! I removed the underscores eg. name_of_track.

I also discovered I was pointing the Windows version of Traktor at the wrong xml file in iTunes - I discovered it's the 'itunes music library' xml file, not the 'itunes library' xml file.

Thanks all for your help with fixing this, you saved my laptop disappearing out the window! ;-D

Underscores in names shouldn't be a problem for either system.

good to see my instincts still work ;)
please write to the tech support and make them aware of the issue, this special sign thingie should have been fixed a long time ago, but still it pops out here and there.

    happy spinning! :)
