missing disc in new Komplete 8 package

Hi all.

Just received my pre-ordered Komplete 8 package today, and started to install. When I came to insert the 'Kontakt: Disc C' it wasn't there, but in it's place was a duplicate of the Komplete8 Installation Disc (which is the very first disc in the box).

Needless to say I stopped there, and sent a message to the tech support team and hope to hear back from them soon.. I may be the only one to have this problem, at least I hope so.

Anyway, check your disc's before installing, it'll save some time.

I have to say I really love Komplete 7, especially Absynth. The whole Komplete package is great, and looking forward to using Komplete8.

Can't get to pick my preorder up until Saturday, really hope i have no issues as this is my first version of Komplete, at least i know its safe waiting for me :O) Will need all of Sunday to install it, then it will be time for bed LOL

 

update: NI has just sent out a replacement K8 package for me according to an email I just received from them. Very nice.

@Whagi - I had no problem installing Komplete 7 when I got it. It worked like a charm. Issues do arise in packaging cycles, but you should be fine. Hope you plan on spending a lot of time playing.

 

I wont be this weekend, as Its going to take all day Sunday to install, then work Monday lol ...glad you have been sorted out.

 

I cannot get past Disk C either. My package does have a disk named "Kontakt Disc C"
but every time I insert it, my Mac just ejects it and asks me to insert it again.
This is VERY frustrating.

 

I just purchased Komplete 8 and found no Battery 3 Disc B, but had two Kontakt 5 Disc Bs.

I also initially tried to install Komplete 8 on my new MacBook Pro, but it failed. Then tried to install on my desktop, which is when I discovered I don't have all of the right discs. I sent an email request to support for guidance.

Frustrating!

 

This JUST happened with my Maschine installation disc. If you check closely, you mght realise your laptop is NOT the problem. My Maschine disc has tiny barcode-like scratches on it. The Komplete disc (also included) did not, so it installed just fine.

Sorry you have the same problem, hope you get it sorted soon. :/ ...Except I'm from Moscow, so there's no telling when and how they're going to resolve my issue.

 

Duplicate disc problem solved

I was able to solve my duplicate/missing disc problem by returning the first package and picking up another one with all of the correct discs.

And today, I received a reply from tech support with download information for the missing disc. All that is resolved now.

BUT, after going through the install process with all of the discs (several hours), the installation failed right at the end! I sent another email to tech support and haven't heard anything yet.

Needless to say, my first experience with NI and its products hasn't been good. I hope tech support can rekindle some confidence.
