i had just purchased and install the new orchestral essentials from projectsam, awesome, worth every penny! worked great as stand alone, but when i pulled up sonar 4, (i know... a little old, but i like it for sequencing) it wasn't there, so i added the library again and started working, saved the project and shut down. came back later, it was gone... ok, added the library again, and it did it again, after start up, it was gone again, tried dragging one patch from the file list... it said, "file is not compatible or is corrupt! what! it works at home in the same set up, but at the studio, problems. so i uninstalled, reinstalled kontakt, sonar, vst adapter, tried almost everything, but still the library wouldn't hold in sonar after adding the library. it also did this in sonar 6, and samplitude pro 11.5.... now i work in windows 7 ultimate 64bit and when i right clicked on the "exe's" for these 3 programs i noticed that sonar 4, 6, and samplitude ALL had the compatibility mode set to "Run With Windows XP Service Pack 2", so i tried turning off compatibility mode, i was already running as administrator, then rebooted and BAMM! FIXED! it worked for me so if you cant get a library to stick after adding it to kontakt in your daw, check the compatibility mode, if its on, shut it off! this only occurred in kontakt 5 player with orchestral essentials. this was a drag to deal with so i hope this helps someone, if it does, then Yahweh has shined His face on you today.
