I often have to work with files from other systems than my own. Samples are missing and need to be reassigned.

The missing samples dialog is really aweful for this purpose.
There is only "Ignore All", "Ignore" and "Locate" as option.
The window is too small to show path and name of the sample.
The window can not be resized.

    please:
    • add a browse folder option
    • add a checkbox option to solve all other missing files the same way
    • make the window resizable to show all information or big enough to show long folder paths
I think thats how it works in most other NI products.

    Thanks

I've hated the way Maschine deals with missing samples for a long time. It's like Maschine is really lazy in this area and if it doesn't immediately find the sample(s) exactly where it expects, that's it. Come on, Maschine, at least have a look in your own folders and directories.

And even little things like having the sample name typed into the text field of the Explorer/Finder window that comes up when you click locate would help.

Search is one of the worst things about maschine.

    2 things to add OP:
1- Sometimes after finding/replacing first couple of sounds, maschine stops searching all other missing samples and leaves the pad with p. mark.. Without sound!
(This one happenes rare, maybe a fixed bug with 2.7x, i am not using maschines search for a while.)

2- (This one started after some update. 2.5 maybe, i am not sure):
When i click "locate" and search with writing full name in maschine search bar, maschine almost never can find the sample. Odd thing is when i write the exact name on finder, the OS finds it !!

and the path often you cannot read because it extends dialog box.... it is annoying because you have to know the name of the sample and where it is to find the sample... which means doing an os search first, which you need the exact sample name.. which you often cannot read...

    +1 million!
Coorec May I move this thread to the feature suggestion subforum?

I would also like a "Search User locations" function.

i also don't understand why i have to point maschine lets say 10 times to the same folder if i have 10 samples
instead of a scan function wich searches for all samples in a project after pointing to a folder

If all 10 samples are in the same folder (not also in a sub-folder/sub-directory), I don't think you should not have to do this and Maschine should find the other missing samples that are in that exact same location. Is this definitely not working for you?

No if they are on different pads i have to point maschine 10 times to that folder

    Uwe
P.S. and that folder is also added under user locations!!

I just tried to reproduce this (on Windows 10, Maschine 2.7.2, only with three samples though, but on different Sounds) and I only had to direct it to the first one and the rest were then found and loaded.

Not really. It gets more user attention here but eventually gets buried under 800 other threads...

I moved it and left a redirect that will stay in the main forum for a few days.
