Mixtrack Pro Traktor LE Edition

    Heya.

    I recently bought a Mictrack Pro, that I wanted to use with Traktor LE. At first I thought the controller would be shipped with Virtual DJ LE, but instead, it came with Traktor LE. Fine with me, it was what I wanted anyway. When I plugged it in however, some features (such as "nudging") didn't work properly, neither did all the LEDs light up.

    Perplexingly enough though, when I plugged it into Virtual DJ Free Edition, the controller worked exactly as advertised, with all the features, LEDs n such present.

    Which makes me wonder, has anyone else come across this "Mixtrack Pro Traktor edition" (Google only gives me the Virtual DJ edition), and is there a way to correct this strange behaviour (Traktor LE's non-existent mapping controls make things difficult)?

    Hi Cybertrash,

    I bought a Mixtrack Pro last Friday and as far as I can say everything in Traktor (I downloaded the 2.0 Version yesterday) works just as it should - but since I'm a noob on those kind of software/tools a lot of things might be horribly wrong without me even noticing it. ;-)

    Well, as I mentioned, I can't "nudge" with the jog wheels, i.e. pitch bend by touching the edges of the jog wheels when they are in "scratch" mode.

    I got a Mixtrack Pro (UK edition) recently as well and found the same - when in "Scratch" mode you can't pitch bend by using the sides of the platter.

    This is because of the default mapping for Mixtrack Pro.

    I "fixed" this by launching into the demo for Traktor Pro 2, adding mappings for the CC for the side of the platter (the "Scratch" toggle buttons on the mixtrack set a pair of global modifiers, one for each deck - IIRC you have to add mappings for "pitch bend stepless" for both decks when the modifier for scratch is active), exported the settings from the demo, made a backup of my Traktor LE 2 settings, then overwrote it with the exported settings - seemed to work okay.

    FWIW - the upgrade to Traktor LE 2 has also broken the "Tick" button above the top right deck, which used to work for both decks but now only works for deck A.
    (NB - it's only on the UK models - US models don't have Tick, View and the EQ kills, the US model has hotcue buttons instead).
