    Hello all,
I'm finally thinking about making the move to Maschine Studio. I guess I'm a sucker for a larger format and a color screen. One question:

I have the opportunity to purchase the hardware unit only, and was wondering if I should do so. The seller doesn't mind keeping his software as he has multiple controllers. My question is if I will be able to simply plug in the Studio controller and have it work with my existing Maschine 2 software? Is the needed driver publicly available in Servicecenter or somewhere else? Am I correct in assuming that it should be plug and play, and that no other registration or incompatibility issues should arise?

    Thanks for your help.

You will be fine just purchasing the controller as long as you already own the software. Just plug it in and it will work. The driver is available publicly and also included in the Maschine software installers.

Interesting. So, if I upgrade from my MK2 to a Maschine Studio would all the expansion packs etc that I have bought also be available on the studio automatically?

smh seems like an obvious answer given the software is the same the only difference is the driver for the different hardwares

There are no strings attached, afaik. Heck, even your loaded templates work on other maschine, so, even this is well done :D

No, you got me wrong. Exceptionally I am NOT angry or annoyed. Maschine and komplete works very, very well - if you take it how it intentionally got designed. I'm upset because you still have not some functions but generally those products perform.

Good thing you mentioned my avatar.
Does it "smile" or does it look like, it would eat you alive? :D
