MK2 Assignment editor update anytime soon?

    Hi,
I recently bought the S49 MK2 (my first experience with NI products) and I love it, but the half-baked MIDI Assignment editor (Controller Editor) is leaving me shocked and speechless.
MK2 is supposed to be an upgrade to MK1, while with MK1 it's possible to export and rename templates (cannot do with MK2), create and rename up to 16 pages for knobs (only 4 pages with MK2, cannot rename them), create key zones (cannot do with MK2), etc. Seems like a downgrade to me.
I'm really disappointed by this. Like I said - I really like the controller but at the same time I'm having problem with having paid such money for something that comes with an unfinished software.

Do you guys plan on releasing an update solving above described issues anytime soon or should I just give up the hope and return the controller?
BTW: By soon I mean weeks, not months. You are talking about the update for months already and I have a serious doubt that migrating Controller Editor into Komplete Kontrol software would take so much time. So you either are working on it or you are not. Not to mention you should have had this finished before releasing the hardware in the first place.

I would post this in support section but for some reason I cannot log-in in there. o_O

Yup Lakyn - totally agree. I am somewhat disappointed that the transport controls don't work as Mackie Control(the MK1 did) and, as you say, the 'controller editor' side of things is way worse. It is really irritating not being able to even name your templates.

mkII is not supposed to be used with Controller Editor. That one seems to be deprecated now, only to be used with mkI and older NI products. At least that's how it seems to me.

As for MCU, it is very likely that will be added in an update.

Hi 'Dragon. Yep - I understand that the controller editor has been 'retired' in favour of integration with KK. However - so much of the functionality of the original editor has now been lost. I use a lot of third party VST - and my DAW (reaper) all of which I am happy to map out to my knobs and buttons - but not being able to name the resulting templates is really inconvenient - you could do this on the mark 1 (I still have my '88). At my age I have enough difficulty remembering my name - let alone which template number I use with various synths. Hey ho.

Still - on the flip side - this equipment is astonishingly powerful - I come from the days of the early 4 track Fostex brigade - this level of tech was unthinkable then! I wish my bass playing ability had progressed as far as tech has ;(

    All the best.

Template control is incomplete on Komplete Kontrol. To put it mildly.
