Is it safe to say that NI is working on a new Maschine product yet? It's been over 6 months on a patch, 2.4 shouldn't even have been a patch we saw 0 improvements made. I think NI is up to something. They are probably working out to release a new hardware in the summer. With that will probably come Maschine 3.0. Now that comes as bitter sweet news for some of us old heads. Will we be forced to pay another 100$ to upgrade to the new software when we still experience major dysfunctional from the 2.x versions? I believe so. For me, I would pay 100$ to fix some things that make me pull my hair when working with Maschine vst. I use it that much it's integral to my workflow. I wouldn't do so happily but I would. Seems like there's way too much pressure from competition for NI to just be like "oh hey guys, here's 2.5 that we've taken 6 months to develop and given absolutely no news on." What do you all think? Will there ever be a 2.5? Are they skipping to the next generation?

Considering what we have hardware and software wise i believe 2.5 or 3.0 soft update with new features and fixes is coming shortly, but i doubt we'll see an mk3 or other hardware update any time soon.

    sadly, i disagree..

NI makes money selling hardware, not by fixing or improving the software.. so I suspect that yet again, the focus will be on new hardware and flashy videos

I stay in the middle. One side i would like a great improvement of software, for example a great change for GUI, direction to a classic DAW. Other side i would like a new toy :D

It will come out when it's ready. I think either first week of april or may. If not, then a fall announcement. Komplete 11 will come out first. I also think we have new maschine hardware coming. If you see any of the maschine's have a sale then you know something is coming. Happy easter everybody.

We are at 2.4. At this rate we won't see 3.0 until past 2017.

Who cares then? Trump might be president then

I think we're going to see some updates as well, both hard and soft.

If you remember well NI in previous years used to release something almost every week. Its been quite for sometime now which indicates that they are busy with the development cycle. 3.0 and new hardware high possibility : )

no need to upgrade to 3.0 if they want to release mk3
with traktor, they usually only release new hardware with a new update (like 2.6)
later, they will release new software upgrade

I think the new hardware contains new screens. they will be implemented more, like push does
I hope they will also work with Traktor....
This can be a hybrid controller for Traktor and Maschine.... Traktor pro will be upgraded to 3.0 with much better Maschine integration.

Another one of these speculation threads.....*sigh* All I can say is that it would be epic if NI dropped multiple products or software updates at the same time or in immediate succession of each other. What if Komplete 11 dropped just before (or at the same time) as the Maschine software update ? What if an MK3 is released simultaneous to the Maschine software update ? What if Traktor and Maschine are both updated into a 3.0 integrated package ? What if we only get a maintenance bug fix update on Maschine so they can build more momentum for a big drop before the holiday season later this year? What if I continued asking rhetorical questions like this ? There is so much hype built up at this point , I just hope we aren't setting ourselves up for disappointment .
