I'll never buy another NI product I'm afraid. Not that its there fault but I believe hybrids have come and gone and the kompete library...well that just takes up HD space

I wont buy NI again, Im unlikely to buy any software drum or instrument for the foreseeable future, or the hybrid part?

I dunno we have three companies doing it...Arturia might have already stopped this direction. I believe there will be a new line of standalone stuff that cover what these hybrids do. If Akai have a huge success with a possible standalone how long will it be before NI follow them?


Of course I dont expect you to do anything but follow the party line but I think the wave of people introduced to recording over its period of mass popularity in the last decade have either moved onto something else or are dipping their feet into hardware. New users coming in are picking up sub $500 hardware too. Im not saying its dead, Im saying it will die...not in my humble opinion..but fact, FACT I tell you, FAAAAACT!!!!111!!!!!

Have decided to go over to the dark side. Just ordered Ableton 9 and Push 2. All this speculation and waiting for improvements finally got to me. Will be a learning curve but time to move on. Onwards and upwards.

I predict that on Monday something will be announced, somewhere in the world, no idea what, and actually i don't really care either, but then we can all pull arbitary dates out of the air for no particular reason can't we.
