I am new to machine too and i fully understand your concerns. It is very nice to be invited to ask the community but that's not how everybody wants to learn/master things. I like to read and learn in advance instead of interrupting my workflow to ask questions and wait hours/days for answers. Also it's crucial to know what possibilities the device is offering instead of using just a fraction of the features because you don't know what the device is capable of.

For example: I couldn't find the quantize function in the menus. The MK2 manual wasn't of any help eihter. It just confused me. I randomly found out that it's a SHIFT-Function on the pads.

Although i love my maschine so far, I am really hoping that there will be a manual soon.

The manual for the MK3 is available now under the Maschine downloads section on the site.

That's true, but you won't see it, if your language is set to german or any other language than english.

HINT: You can change the language in the bottom right corner of the site or just change the URL from e.g. "de" to "en".

The manual is no longer available, apparently due to too many inaccuracies. This still leaves all us newcomers totally at a loss as to what to do or how to learn this device. I am trying to piece it together from various 'Groove3' and 'Macprovideo' tutorials but they are all either 'Studio' or MK2 focussed. A lot MK1 even.
The main thing I am looking for atm is an itemised description of the functions of each physical button, knob, and pad, along with any secondary usage with the shift button. NONE of that information is available or relevant in old manuals or tutorials.
I know for a fact that I am not the only one in this position as I have seen several others with similar comments in these forums.
The Quickstart guide, the only thing available, gives no such information.
Surely, in the absence of a manual someone from NI could whip up some sort of chart with this basic and necessary information.
I have found one site on YouTube offering a MK3 specific course for about $50 US (About $70 Aust) but I think that is a bit rich considering the ONLY reason I would want one is the direct result of NI's failure to provide a manual for a controller for which I just paid $899 (Aust)
Perhaps NI would like to provide me with the money to buy the course!

I for one can vouch for this, especially from this dude, he helped me no end to set up MK3 in Cuabse, sadly though, i have returned Maschine to NI as its not for me.

OK Thanks I'll keep that in mind. As a newcomer to the whole Maschine platform I suspect the best approach for me atm is to concentrate on the software and try to link that back too the hardware as and when I can. I am a bit confused as to the whole 'groups' thing and 'scenes' etc.
I seem to remember comments about the 'arranger' section of the manual as being copied from MK2 and the main problem area with the MK3 manual. This is a big area where I can not make any sense out of the controller. I push buttons and get unexpected results. Also using the software alone I can get the arranger page to something familiar as a 'Live' user with a (Live) channels and clips concept but can not figure how to get there/control it using the MK3. Any suggestions gratefully received. As stated I have Groove3 and Macprovideo subscriptions. Any suggestions of courses/instructors there?
One more thing, so far I have only tried to use the included songs/tunes. I may be better off trying to start something from scratch. Just figured to try to analyse something that already existed. I am a long way off trying sampling yet but that is something I would like to try at some stage. Better to learn the basics first.

I can not find the new manual for MK3 ? There is only a 21 page (getting started) on product download page. Can someone point me in the right direction? Please don't post the same link to product downloads.

There was no manual in the downloads area, just a message saying the manual would be coming soon. Then for a short time there was a manual. Then it disappeared again, presumably because there were a lot of errors in it. Hopefully a corrected version will appear soon.

Thanks for the link. I have been looking for this in spite of knowing there were problems with it. As someone totally new to Maschine and having made the decision to go ahead and purchase a new MK3 rather than a 2cnd hand MK2 or Studio I found it VERY frustrating to have NO access to a manual. I have learned a lot in a few days of watching online tutorials about the basic software concepts but need a clearer picture of knob and button functions on the MK3. This will be a BIG help and I look forward to the updated manual.
I think it would be a VERY BIG HELP to newcomers such as myself if this link, along with an explanation was posted as a Sticky on this forum.
