Hello all, you've been a great resource in the past and it's greatly appreciated. I just picked up on S61, and up until this point I was working off an MK3 and a Jam. Upon bringing the S61 into the mix I'm not having issues with the MK3, the lights are all on but none of the buttons work. I can't browse, change groups, record, none of the buttons work but they are all lit up. Also, when changing groups on the Jam, I am able to see the group change on the MK3 but again buttons are lit up but do not work. I have tried the following:

    Restart computer
    Swap out USB cord
Swap out USB and place into a different USB outlet
Totally remove S61 from the mix
    reinstall controller editor
confirm I have all of the latest software updates
    restart, restart, restart...

Anyone out there have any other ideas? A google and youtube search have yielded nothing helpful, but I could be not asking the right question... Any help is much appreciated!!

The S61 is a NI product. it should not be giving you issues with Jam and MK3 which are both NI products.

How exactly are all three devices plugged into your computer? Directly into the USB ports of the computer or are you using a USB hub?Are USB ports set correctly in BIOS? Check if legacy settings might be on.

Are you using original correct USB cables that came with the NI devices you purchased? I had an issue once and I thought the NI hardware was failing, but it was because I was not using the cable meant for the device. I picked up a random USB cable I had laying around and learnt the hard way that not all USB cables are made equal.

FWIW, I am having occasional issues with the MK3 when I dont power it on first in the chain. But the issues I have may not be relevant to your issues are setups are not same. I power on the MK3 first and then turn everything else on.

if its only the mk3 "acting up" on your side, i'd try a complete deinstallation of maschine software/drivers (there's a tool for that, you'll find it with "native instruments driver removal tool". then before reconnecting mk3, install maschine software and try it again...

and don't forget: once it works ,you'll have fun :D

This is probably due to the way the machine software communicates with the hardware.
I suspect that some things need to be adjusted in the software or drivers for this.
But of course I can be completely wrong.

Thank you all, I uninstalled the MK3 driver and reinstalled, it's fine now. By now I should realize this without having to post, and I will from here on out, thanks again for the suggestions!
