    Hey folks! Listen to this:

Do you notice how the crash &china cymbals are getting choked in a VERY weird way? I have NO idea what is going on there... It is the white sparkle kit, which I modified a tiny little bit. I just changed the snare to Nr 3 and changed volumes... That is it.

I am out of my mind, I have no idea how I am supposed to continue on my band project... No matter HOW I render it (real time, 1x offline, full speed offline), the cymbals are randomly getting choked. Sometimes more sometimes less. It is a question of luck.

Please people, help me out here, I am going crazy and am helpless. :(

I went here to search for exactly that issue, albeit with 60's drums. My kit is fully loaded into RAM, I deleted all controllers (aftertouch, foot, mod and so on) but apparently it has nothing to do with that.

    So BUMP + 1000

Oh, i guess i should add that it's not only cymbals that's getting choked, it's snare room samples as well as kick room samples.

Well, troubleshooting went my way today! I narrowed it down to my samples being stored on an external USB-drive. Once i moved all samples to C it's been smooth sailing. So if you've got your samples externally it might be worth a shot to move them to another drive.

It sounds similar to what I was seeing with Abbey Road Drums. The problem I was seeing was more prevalent during mixdown/render rather than live. A possible solution can be found in this thread.

    Just a question...

would any of you happen to be using a bus-powered external sample drive? Or more specifically a Lacie Little Big Disk? I've been having this problem for months and am really frustrated (especially since NI doesn't seem to care or know how to fix my problem).

I had the same issue with Abbey Road Drums 80's ,

All I did to avoid this from happening again was to make sure your play back curser is at the beginning of the song before you render your project,

for example if I were to play my song and stop it anywhere in the project but the beginning and just render it from there it would have that issue.

This sound very strange but thats what I do now and I dont have that issue any more, figure that one out ? LOL

Just give it a try and let me know if it worked
