I would like to see an "Only Browser On" option in the modifiers.
It would save a lot of hassle with standard modifiers.

i.e. Select Up/Down > modifier: only browser on = yes

    Please ....

And more general modifiers would be nice.

    :)

Why? This is so easily doable with modifiers already...

Just create two layouts "browse view" and "play view" and then set your "Select Up/Down" to also trigger the "browse mode".
Double-map your "track load" button to also switch the view back to "play view".
    Done.

I know it's do-able in other ways, thats not the point.

Sorry, I just don't see it as a major issue.

    It's not a major issue - it's a feature request.

And anyway doing it your way doesn't do what I asked.

Help me understand what you're trying to do.. Maybe I just don't get what you are trying to achieve.

In my example, you would have a control to switch to the browser mode and at the same time set a modifier, let's say M1=1.At that moment, M1=1 would be the condition you describe as "only browser on = yes", wouldn't it?

What Nicky is trying to achieve is useful when you got all modifiers burned in one generic device.

Yeah but then you are using M1 so you are using a modifier anyway so why no 'Only Browser On'.

    Not M1, or M2 etc.
I have it that way at the minute - but if I click a button to toggle only browser on (and set the modifier) - so I can re-use controls - what happens if I close the browser with my mouse or another controller..

The modifier is still set but the browser is minimized so the controls still do browser functions.

I know you might say just use one controller for opening/closing the browser, and I do, but I have a modular set-up, X1's and F1's and I think it would be a useful modifier is all.

Thanks for the explanation, I understand now much better where you are coming from.
Although this would not be on top of my wishlist for Traktor, I support the idea!

No I agree it's not a major problem, perhaps I should have just requested more built-in modifiers.

I have mapped dozens of different controllers to Traktor over the last few years and the mapping is cool, but more & more features are getting added to Traktor so it makes sense to offer more modifiers. 16 sounds good.

I really like the built-in modifiers:
    Play/Pause Deck x
Is In Active Loop Deck x
    FX Unit Mode etc ...

I just think some more would be cool:
    Only Browser On
    FX1 On Deck x
    FX2 On Deck x etc ...
    Advanced Panel Tab Selector

It'd save using the 8 modifiers up so you can use them for something else.

Oh and a Global Section control would be nice so you can swap the master clock / recorder and FX units.

Without doing it the different layout way ;)

Can I add "is in track end warning state" to the list? ;)

    Many people dont know this....
But each separate user map can use modifiers over and over.

If you use the same control(button, fader, etc.) you can link maps together. For instance turn off an effect in one map while turning on in a separate map using the exact same modifier. Confused? Mapping is confusing.

But believe me I use the exact same map and modifiers to mirror my jogeffects mapping. Just switch the assignments.
This also minimizes the complexity and size of maps.

You cant run out of modifiers. just make another user map to do what you want.
    ---
Of course I realize you are asking for modifier "conditions" to be added.
I do agree some more types could be useful.
