Hi all, I recently upgraded to traktor Pro 1.2 from 1.1.2. In 1.1.2, the modifiers on my keyboard also affected my joystick, that i am using as a midi device (using rejoice and midi yoke). All of this fails to work in the 1.2 upgrade. The reason of this is (at my first sight) that the modifiers on each midi device are seperate i.e. you can have modifier M1=1 on midi device 1, and M1=0 at midi device 2 at the same time. How can i use the modifiers from my keyboard keys to modify a modifier at my joystick (midi device 2)? any interest is appreciated.

Well if you had just midi controller then adjusting the input to ALL would fix it, but in the case of Keyboard?
Maybe if you would use the Keyboard to output midi through Midi Yoke, maybe would work

I Don't see where a keyboard is other then a midi device... Traktor says "keyboard midi device", but i can't set an output. i've been thinking about changing my keys to midi signals, but then i have to renew all my midi mappings. Isn't there any bypass for using "output=>all" for keyboards?

Well in my Traktor says Generic Keyboard.

I don't think it's the output you are looking for but the input

My Traktor says it too, but if you are using modifiers, you make an signal OUT of your keyboard and IN to the midi device, right?

No, the Modifiers like all other commands, are Inputs to T Pro not outputs.
Outputs are mostly button LEDs, volume LEDs, and stuff like that.
The only output modifiers have is LED ouput to know that the value has changed from 0
The Modifier stays into the Program, It's a parameter or better an inquisition for TPro
And each device has it's own MODIFIERS.

For example, I have only 1 VCI-100, But i have created in the Controller manager 4 different devices (For my ease) that all share the same device as input/output. But they don't share the same modifiers,

OP, you are right. The modifier are seperate to each logical device. There is a way around this for MIDI devices by setting one of them to ALL PORTS and mapping the relevant control from the other device (see my post UNIVERSAL MODIFIERS: HOW TO), but you cannot do this with the keyboard.

If you used MIDI-YOKE to translate a keypress into a MIDI command then this would be possible.

    Traktor needs universal modifiers.

    Hello Lethal,
I've read your post on the other thread, and i understand that there is no workaround except for setting your keyboard as a midi device, messing up all my previous preferences and using an external program. I can't seem to set my keyboard to midi notes in midi yoke. Do you need an external program (other than mid yoke" to translate key presses to midi notes?
