Modular icons : SYNC issue with daw

Hi guyz , i just got myself modular icons , witch is by the way superbe .

I've been playing with it since several ahours and decided to make a track , opend studio one , designed a patch and issue came straight :

I designed a patched from scratched and used the setp seuqencer witch has TWO parts basically *

a) The pitch and velocity of A or B or A+ B or none
b) Macros modulation patterns

The patch i designed used only the part b)of the sequencer aka macros modulation , when i press a key basically it keep playing the steps and modulating what i need BUT when i record this key in studio one , it plays the key ( midi clip) but not modulation at all , i played the key like for 4 bars , when playing it real time it works but once recodred , the not trigger by daw does't make the pattern play

Can any body confirm this and please NI have a look at this this makes the wjole product uselless so it asks for step sequences !!

 

Sadly my S1 demo expired so I cannot test this, however I'm pretty sure the macro sequencing worked just fine in standalone, Live, Reaper, FL and Maschine (which is hosts I own and can test in).

 

Yeah basically it works in standalone , in KK , and in studio one when i play a note live , if it's recorded in midi no luck here if the setp sequencer for pitch and vel isn't on ...will test in sonar and cuabse and report , i had sync issues in the past (KORE dayz lol)

 

Hm ok. I got an NFR of S1 now, I'm testing Modular Icons patches that have the sequencer enabled, I disable the pitch sequence on them, record a MIDI note... macro modulation by the sequencer works just fine?


Maybe record a video of what you're doing?

 

Strange , windows 8.1 here , tried on cubase : all good ...

 

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, record a video of what you're doing in S1. It works fine here...

 

I just tried on a blank project in S1 and so far it's working great ...
What i susppect is that it's link to a particular preset or setting combo , since each presets is so differents from one to another fx and setting wise , that maybe a ceratin combo does it ....

 

Which snapshot didn't work for you?

 

I don t recall , gonna see if the test project is saved .... i usually bever save test projects ...

 

Make sure in Ableton or other DAW that you sync the output of your MIDI device - link to ableton article follows
