    Hi!

    How can I calculate the actual modulation index from the 0-100 operator amplitude value?

    I suppose this conversion involves the modulation frequency or ratio too.

    Hi,
    this can easily figured out by comparing
    the FM7 waveform display with a plotting
    program.
    I think the conversion is:
    M = L*L * 0,0013 so for full modulator output
    the Modulation index is round about 13.

    Thank you,

    but I have already consulted Michael Kurz the programmer about this. The maximum modulation index is 2.1135*2*pi and 0.96*2*pi for feedback. This is multiplied with (operator value/100)^2 to obtain the actual modulation index.
