    Hi,

its about Komplete9 and the Player Tab: I see my products Monark, Spark, Prism, The Finger - but a double click won't open them. I search my HD and find all of them installed on Users/Documents/NativeInstruments/ . When I drag and drop from this folder, I can use all of them. But I want to open via the Player-Tab.
Maybe these rkplr or ens-Files must go to another directory? I found a similar looking folder in MacHD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments
as well as in users/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments.

    Where do they belong to?

they should not be in your User folder

they should be in your 'Shared' folder.

you might need to re-install them.

    thx for your quick answer!
why do I have them everywhere? I just made normal installations.
    - with "user folder" do you mean both: users/library/application support/NativeInstruments and users/Documents/NativeInstruments?
    - I found them as well in the Applications folder (there are the *.app files)

There is a "Shared Content" folder in the Users/Documentations/NI... as well as in MacHD/Library/ApplicationSupport/NI...

In my opinion the Komplete installation on OS X is a pure mess.

Let's try to shed some light on this chaos:

The apps are in ... who guessed it ;) ...
    /Applications/Native Instruments/
The documentation can be found here too.

Additional application "data" (templates, sounds, etc.) can be found in ...
    /Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/

The main content (factory library / sample library) is in ...
    /Users/Shared/

The user library (e.g. saved sounds, ensembles, etc.) is in ...
    /Users/Username/Documents/Native Instruments/

And I guess the user settings like sample rate and the user library databases are in ...
    /Users/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/

    Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Ah cool, sehr gut, Danke! Yes, its a mess, every installation of third-party software is clean, just NI throws their files everywhere

what exactly do you mean with "/Users/Shared"?

Actually no, they are following the guidelines for installing factory (that are supposed to be non-user-editable) and user files, both on Windows and on Mac.

Well I won't discuss that. Just bring my Player back to life. Would you do me a favour and check, in which of these listed folders this files are located:
    - Prism FX.rkplr, Prism.rkplr
    - Spark.rkplr
    - Monark.ens
    - TheFinger.rkplr

Thank you a lot for that help.

see the Users folder at the bottom of the list?

inside that folder is the Shared folder.

Ah now I got it, that kind of shared folder - I was irritated by that "Shared Content" folder in some of the NativeInstruments folders. o_O
Ok, there are all the Monark, Spark whatever folders already! So these files are at the right place.

Next step would be to check in the Reaktor Preferences the path. Is in your Reaktor preference the "User Content" path (below the Factory Content in the "Directories" tab) point to that users/shared folder? At mine it locates to users/documents/nativeinstruments/reaktor5. Maybe that's wrong.

    NB!

the 'User Content' is not the same as the 'Users Shared' folder!

your 'User Content' is where you place any edited Factory Ensembles, or downloads from the Users Library.

    okay:

if Monark, Spark, etc are in the 'Shared' folder - then you should see them under the Player Tab:

It's good to know the differences! But as I wrote before: I see them in the Player Tab already - but I cannot load them. A double click doesn't work (nothing happens) - I must drag&drop the *.ens files to load it and play it.

Right now I tried to install Updates via Service Center and - what a surprise: it's not possible to update Monark, Prism and Spark! That means, even though I got them all in the "Users/Shared" folder and they screened at the Player Tab, something is wrong.

Unfortunately my new MBP has no CD drive anymore, so don't know how to reinstall Reaktor's Monark, Prism, Spark and Finger; as well I am no friend while running several projects to reinstall software instruments I use in Logic9 (had several problems with Kontakt lost his instruments and all parameters).

Edit: how do you upload pictures to your posts? I don't know how to bring a screen picture as an URL to the web.

No chance to use the remote CD feature?

Did you notice the "upload a file" button? For online images use the image button besides the smilie.

please clarify what you seen in the Player's Tab:

for Spark you double click on Spark.rkplr.

you have an online account, you can also login there and download your registered products.

Check! Look at my Player Tab: there are the names, but no "+" at the folder icon. When I click on it, it's empty! There's no "Spark.rklpr" at the File Name down below. Maybe these parts of Komplete are successfully registered, but sth wrong with the Users/shared place.
