Monterey DJM-900NXS stops CDJ-2000NXS playing

Hey everyone,

I am on Mac Monterey
I got my 2 x CDJ-2000 NXS and a DJM-900 NXS connected to my laptop.
without the 900 NXS connected, everything works fine besides the sound output becomes my laptop.
When I connect the 900 NXS to the laptop, the traktor doesn't play the 2000 NXS.

Now I can see that the 'play' button on Traktor is lighting up when i click play on the cdj's, tempo moves up and down when i move it on the cdj's. so traktor is taking input from them.
it's just not playing when the DJM-900 NXS is connected, even with the 'play' button lit up.
i unplug the 900 nxs use and it works but with the sound then coming out of the laptop

I got DJM-900 Settings Utility setup with the Monterey version from the pioneer site.
Got the CDJ Aggregator too.
All the input settings on the djm is set to 'usb'

any ideas?

 

Do not use the cdj aggregator just use the mixer for audio.

Check your in/out ports are set to the devices you are using in the controller manager. No device should be set all.

Check your security settings of your OS and allow Traktor access in the microphone settings.

 

I checked the controller manager, there is 'trackor scratch 2 default' , 'Pionner.CDJ.2000nexus' (CDJ2000nexus) & 'Pionner.CDJ.2000nexus' (CDJ2000nexus - 2)
The CDJ's have the mapping on them.

When I go in the security section on the mac settings, the Microphone settings does have tracktor ticked.
still the same issue, the second i remove the djm 900 nxs usb, the cdj's work fine

 

One last thing to try.

in the controller manager set the in/out ports for the 900nxs to none and only use one cdj and see if that works. If it works with one then we’re getting somewhere.

Make sure Traktor is ticked in the mic settings in your OS.

 

Inside the controller manager, the 900nxs doesn't show up, only the cdj.
for the cdj, the only in/out port is 'CDJ2000nexus'
the mic setting for tracktor is ticked in the macos 'security & privacy' section

 

Does only one cdj work with the mixer?

If not then contact support

 

i only have 1 cdj connected to it, still the same.

I managed to figure out why and it's working now
I updated the DJM-900 NXS to v 1.32, it was 1.30

it worked immediately after the update
