Thoroughly unimpressed with NI. With the recent problems with audio dropout in my last thread, compounded by countless other probems with this controller I can't trust to take it to any gig worth while. Absolutely disappointment.

Today while mixing for an entire 45 minutes, Deck "B" Decides it no longer wants to work. I'm met with a flashing "load" button (the button used to load a deck). If I press play on the deck, the deck refuses to play anything at all, but the green play button illuminates and the tempo rockets to +100%. However, if I press the button to swap to deck D control, B plays and the fader is responsive again.

Even more incredibly, if I load the track into Deck D, and press play in Deck D, it refuses to play until I swap back to Deck B control! But when I swap to the respective deck to control it again, nothing responds, and vice versa.

I could get past the fact that bringing my Deck B channel fader to the bottom, for whatever reason causes it to slowly drift up in the software, effectively bringing decks that have 0 volume on the physical fader back up to whatever volume the software decides to control. This was simply fixed by never bringing the fader all the way to the bottom.

Stellar work Native Instruments, the best part a friend of mine with an S4 has a similar problem with the fader.

It's astonishing that a "reputable" company has no problem selling hardware that has consistant problems and couples it with often incomplete software, or software that has horrendous problems at every update. Most companies would have some sort of recall or at least an apology. I have no idea how any professionals like the likes of porter robinson or felix the housecat rely on this equipment for their gigs.

Never again NI, never again. Serato thanks you for another sale. It's an absolute joke how many people here report similar problems again and again and nothing is done other than "Welp, nothing we can do"

Your jog wheel sensor is broken. Get it fixed/replaced.

I've seen this same issue happen to Porter in one of his Beatport videos.

Restarted Traktor and it worked again. Amazing piece of hardware/software. I'm glad restarting traktor is a viable option during a life show.. haha

Porter did the same, and there were a couple minutes of silence in his set.

Surely there is a better way to test these rigs than an actual "Live" show.

You think NI would have tested them enough to see these problems. I've had mine for a little over a year now. Finally paid it off and what not. been nonstop problems, various issues that come and go, but it's NEVER been trustworthy enough to take on the road.

Problems I've encountered at different stages:
Channel Fader drifting up (in software) even when physically all the way down.
    Software crashes
    Hardware lock ups
    USB dropout problems
Channels B & D Unresponsive to control commands, have to restart traktor.
Suffered from that problem people had where a song would play for 30 seconds then fade down and be replaced with a hum.
Problem where any song I cue'd in headphones would just hum or screech
Drifting filter knob that no longer centers properly.

People still report that cue volume is too low and they haven't bothered to add a setting to boost it.

    Nothing but problems.

If the problems are as chronic as you suggest, yes... I'm very disappointed. Montre on the other hand appeared to have a working rig before he put his new rig into service.
