:) Ok gang, did a gig last night and don't recall it skipping or dropping out during the whole set. I am gonna make a new post later with all my system info and settings so anyone else with the dropping out or popping sound can have try fix their problem.

    Anyway just two Questions

First off, as I plugged in my laptop charger last night I got a horrible buzzing noise from the PA? and it's not the first time I noticed when my mate did the same a few months back. any suggestions on how to get rid of this horrible sound

    Second,

You know the on each deck there is a big red button saying deck A and Deck B buttons to switch between each deck. Well I was wondering can you map a midi to these buttons, if so what are they called and under in the midi mapping settings.

    Thanks once again

Was the buzzing an earthing issue, maybe? Tried grounding the audio 8, or fiddling with the ground lift etc?

    Describe it in more detail.

I had the same "buzzing sound" problem on one of my sets. I was in a bit of a hurry to set up, so I just plugged everything in and started playing. It wasn't a very loud sound, but noticeable on the headphones. Definetly a grounding issue. The solution, which I was unable to fix before the end of the set was plug the charger in "the other way" (I live in Finland, and we use the kind of plug you can put in "either way" - unlike the UK plug, for example).

But for me, that has been the only time. Now I always check it out first that the "ground buzz" is not coming through before I start my set.

nice suggestion....ok have my PA set up and it's working, CDJ's and DJM all ready to go master volume (connect to PA) is up and PA main master is up and theres no sound (beautiful  ) then once i plug my laptop charger into the laptop I suddenly get emmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm buzzzing noise not to loud but you would very much notice it, not nice on the ears. I pull the charger from the laptop and same deal, no sound :(

as I said my mate was giging with me a few monnths back and when he tried the same I got that noise.

I had the same problem when I plugged in a second laptop connected to the mixer to record. It was a ground loop hum. I used a plug "converter" with no ground. (The plug with no third prong to ground) Problem gone. I will get a ground loop isolator in the future so I can have the charger properly grounded. http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/

Yeah its a Ground Loop. If the buzzing starts when you plug the laptop adapter in the mains you need to lift the ground by using a convertor from 3 prong to 2 prong plug. This can be detrimental to your gear in the long run so you need to buy a Ground Loop Isolator. They are cheap and worth having in your gig bag, they can be the cure to many hums and buzzes.
