1. Hi everyone,

Apple just released Logic Pro 10.5 for MacOS 10.15. We found out that Crush Pack, Mod Pack, Replika, and Replika XT will crash.

Our teams are currently working on a fix, and we hope to have this out to you as soon as we can!

    Best wishes,
    The NI Team

    Hello,

my third party NKS entries are gone, some are the, but most are missing. I think I recently updated Komplete Kontrol.

I doubt it is related to the plug-ins, but I reinstalled ALL of the missing ones:
    - Softube
    - PlugIn Alliance
    - Future Audio Workshop
    - Sugar Bytes
    ...and some more

I know not all plug-ins by those vendors had NKS, but they had their entries. Now they are gone.

For reasons unknown to me, u-he, Arturia, and Waves do still work.

    I did already:
    - Reinstall all the plug-ins
    - Deleted both the .db3 files for Maschine and Komplete
    - Rebuilt the Database multiple times (takes a looong time in my case)

I always get the same result, but missing the other NKS entries. I am kinda confused as everything worked sine until a few days ago.

Any help beside deleted the .db3 file would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello,

The issue you are seeing is not related to the recent KOMPLETE KONTROL / MASCHINE updates, but updates to Balinese Gamelan and The Canterbury Suitcase from November. Please follow these steps for the impacted products:

    1. Close any Native Instruments software you have running.
    2. Delete the following files:
    - macOS – /Users/Shared/NI Resources/<Path to Library>/<Product Name>.nicnt
    - Windows – :\Users\Public\Documents\NI Resources/<Path to Library>/<Product Name>.nicnt
    3. Open Native Access and reinstall the product from the 'Installed' tab.
    4. Run Maschine or Komplete Kontrol.

    I hope this helps.

    Best,
    Adil

    Hello Adil,

thanks for answering. I did remote the .nicnt Files and redownloaded both, Balinese Gameland and Canterbusy Suitcase. After that I deleted the .db3 files and let scanning and library rebuilding perform again.

Unfortunately, I got the exact same result like before.

I am a bit puzzled. I do have my Libraries installed to an external drive, but that was never a real problem to this point.

    Thanks

Same problem here - also affects AAS products - deleting the Balinese Gamelan nicnt files fixed the loss of categories but not the problem with those third party products - still awaiting a proper fix for this

Might also be useful to compile a full list of plugin developers affected (or not)

    Affected

    - Softube
    - PlugIn Alliance
    - Future Audio Workshop
    - Sugar Bytes
    - AAS
    - Audiaire Zone
    - Eventide
    - Possibly Korg Gadgets

    Unaffected
    - u-he
    - Waldorf
    - Arturia
    - Waves
    - Rob Papen
    - Sonic Couture
    - Output
    - Accusonus Beatformer

Multiple rebuilds and re-downloads did not change it for me. I opened a ticket.

For the affected plug-ins I can add the missing case:
    - Audiaire Zone

For the unaffected I can add:
    - Sonic Couture
    - Output
(Both are Kontakt libraries so i assume a different case here)
    - Accusonus Beatformer

BTW: I did not check all NI libraries as they are quite a lot.

    HI!
Same issue here, some Arturia, and others vst are missing from Nks library.
Deleting .nict files and .db3 doesn't help

I got a mail from support to delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.native-instruments.Komplete Kontrol.plist
and the Machine 2.plist as well. And again deleted the
    ~/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Komplete Kontrol folder.

After a reboot a NEW scan showed a different behaviour:
The affected plug-ins (each of them) were asked to locate their NKS folder. Odd enough, the "wrong" folder was accepted after selecting it by hand (which would be lot of work to do if you have a lot of NKS plug-ins).

Afterwards the NKS still do not show up, but a new scan shows that they are not available - again.

So something is broken with the folder for SOME NKS. I just installed the updated U-He Zebra (fresh NKS support) which worked (just like U-He Diva). So it might be related to something that those plug-ins do differently.

For now I'm just adding them all to the User library page in preferences - at least that works. tbh I really couldn't care less whether they are in the factory or user tab anyway as long as they work

I still would have to add all folders, right? Seems like a some good amount of work to me...

Yes but if you delete the NI folder it would require that too, plus all those for the working ones too so even more work - lets hope NI come up with a better solution then, I do not want to have to do that either

    Hey all.
We are working on a fix for this issue. In short: This is caused by a variance in the NKS implementation of some vendors. One of these implementations is currently broken, resulting in some NKS products not to be displayed, while others still work normally.

We are planning to ship an update for MASCHINE and KOMPLETE KONTROL to resolve problem as soon as possible.
Our current timeline suggests that these updates will be available within the next week.

I appreciate your patience and again apologies for any inconveniences!
