I just moved my very own sample library to an external ssd. Not the plug-in librarys, only my own sample collection!
Now if I open a project that uses samples from my lib (nki, aiff, rx2 files), this message appears:
The state of some instances of Kontakt cannot be recalled correctly, please open any instance of Kontakt to resolve the problem

But Logic crashes if I try to open an instance of Kontakt 6 in that project. Even if I try to create a new instance of Kontakt 6, Logic crashes.

For Battery 4 no problem. While the project is loading, a dialog appears where I can search for the missing/moved samples....

But Kontakt 6 does not! The only workaround is to move my samples back to the Mac HDD.

    MacOS 10.13.6
    Logic Pro X 10.4.4
    Kontakt6 6.5.1

Have you tried using Kontact in standalone to locate the moved samples?

That would not help fix the sample references in the actual DAW project file. It can only help with Kontakt Player library relocation, but not with non-encoded stuff (OP mentioned his own library, so that is likely not KP then).

Thanks for your replies. As EvilDragon mentioned I use Kontakt 6, not the player version.
Anyway, the problem will be solved with version 6.5.2.
I received a pre-version? (6.5.2) from NI and tested it right now successful. While the project is loading still the same message appears, but once the project was loaded I was able to open the Kontakt instance (with 6.5.1 Logic has crashed in that moment).
First appeared a dialog to search for the missing samples, then Kontakt opened normal with the new samples.

Thanks NI for the quick support!

Hey, any idea when 6.5.2 will be released? I'm experiencing similar problem - was working on a track, finished for the day, moved libraries to the new drive, updated Kontakt and now when I try to open the session I'm getting a message that Kontakt instances have not been recalled correctly. The Logic session never really opens, I'm getting a white rectangle (I guess in the place where the info about missing samples would appear) and although it seems like it isn't freezed, I anything and have to Force quit.
    I'm on Logic 10.4.8 , OS 10.14, Kontakt 6.5.1.

6.5.2 was released a few hours ago (this is why we have that sticky thread about current update status) :)

Thank you EvilDragon. I updated Kontakt, pointed it to the new libraries folder and things work again. Cheers, have a good week!

I'm running into a similar problem; due to a hardware failure, I've had to move my files to a new location, and they work just fine in standalone instances of Kontakt (6.6.0)... Except for my existing project files on Logic (10.6.3). When I try to open an instance, I get the content missing prompt. Now, I can move around the window, and I know where the missing files are, but as soon as I point to the right folder (or even click "Ignore this time"), within a few seconds Logic becomes unresponsive and I end up staring at the rainbow wheel until I force quit the application. Since moving the files to the old location is no longer an option (due to the hardware failure), are there ways I can deal with this problem? It's worth noting that this seems to be a project specific problem; a new Logic project has no problems opening an instance, and doesn't have the same errors. Any ideas? :)

I have the exact same experience in Cubase (I have to Force Quit after I trigger the Kontakt Content Missing Search). I have only experienced this recently following an SSD upgrade from 2TB to 4TB but I get it when I open a project saved before my SSD upgrade. Makes work on older material very uncomfortable. Hopefully folks at NI know about it and are working on a fix...
