    Hello,

I recently bought Komplete Ultimate, installing it on my laptop. However, my laptop has very limited space and thus I now bought a thunderbolt external hard drive to put them (and other stuff) on. Thus, I'd like to ask whether I can (and how can I) just move them from my laptops hard drive? Or do I have to uninstall everything, and then go through the rut of installing again? Is there a function within the included update software that lets me move stuff?

Thanks. What if I install updates from the service center, will the updates for a library be installed in the current location of the library, or a new destination?

New problem: Reaktor 5 won't find its synths anymore. I have followed the instructions you linked, and restarted my computer. What to do?

When pointing to the new paths in the standalone applications, the paths in Service Center should also be updated automatically, so updates are getting installed to the right locations.
But to double check you can also have a look at the paths of each application, library, etc. in Service Center -> Overview Tab: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/knowledge-base/show/561/what-is-service-center/

Which synths exactly? Because moving the Reaktor Factory Library and other Reaktor-based synths (like Razor, etc.) are two different things:

Just in case: did you relocate one synth at a time and did a reboot after each?

Otherwise move the folders of the missing synths back to the original location and try to relocate one synth at a time. If this doesn't work there's also the option to uninstall and re-install these synths (after they were moved back to the original install location).

You can also contact NI support about this: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/company/contact-ni/

I moved my Reaktor synths back to their original position and now everything works fine. I guess I have enough space to keep them there. Thanks for your help! :)

Do I need to do anything else to keep future updates working?

    Glad you got it working.

No, for now it should be fine. Although when installing an update you can double-check in general if the installer uses the right install location ...
