I've noticed recently that almost all of the tracks that I've played in Traktor have had all their tag info (artist, album, genre, bit rate) erased, which is very annoying  I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if there's anything I can do to stop it from happening in the future?

    Cheers,
    J

Just to clarify the above - I've got MP3Tag installed on my computer, and in there, the tags appear to be intact. It's from within Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player that the tag info for these MP3s has 'disappeared' (after playing the tracks in Traktor LE.)

The tags are changed to ID3 v4 in Traktor which is not support by all other software. You can make your music read only so the tags are not touched and have Traktor use only the collection.nml file for cues, stripes, and grids or create two collections of your music. One for Traktor and one for everything else.
I have multiple collections. One for Traktor and one for iTunes/personal listening and two back-ups of each.
