I have been trying to do what I think is a simple function but can't seem to figure it out.
I want to import a single sample (cool)
    duplicate it multiple times (cool)
**map the copies to individual keys with single keyranges HELP!

I can only do this manually but cant auto map samples chromatically.
I can import a batch of samples and map them automatically
BUT when I make sample duplicates I can't find a way to map them automatically so that I can trigger each individually and tweak each samples start time uniquely.

Again, this only becomes an issue when I import a single sample and duplicate it.
There has to be a way to chromatically map samples from inside the mapping window

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

    mrtwisto,
Just a thought, maybe you can build a set of duplicated samples, and add an incremental number to each copy - sample1 sample2 sample3, etc.
Then import all of them and tweak to your heart's desire. Of course, this eats more memory.

    Hi
That would require a premeditated sample with preliminary work done.

I have folder of samples taken from vinyl recordings and various sources that sit and wait for their use.
I want to be able to use them on the fly.

Duplicating samples in the mapping window copies on top of the existing sample.
So if I duplicate a single sample 3 times I end up with 8 copies on a single key and I have to manually move them to a chromatic mapping.
there has to be a way to automatically map any samples to chromatic alignment but the only way to do this is in the automap setup - which is based on a string of exceptions within the sample's naming. Duplicate samples retain the same name and have no sense of sequence or qualification for the automap function.
