If it's true, it is more than likely the latter reason, that they are prepping for the new controller. If it's not true, it will be, soon. I don't suspect they are going to abandon Maschine. Not right now, at least.

Was thinking either a Jam Studio or an answer to akai.

 

I know someone who works at the GC in LA on sunset blvd. Someone who is demoing and doing small maschine workshops at their store right now has said they are still in production (maschine studio etc) and being sold.

FWIW, Sweetwater seems to be all out of Maschine Studios at the current moment. They are saying that more are on order however.

 

For americanmusical its says you can preorder a mashine studio. If you google maschine studio and go shopping I don't see any listed.

 

It does seem kind of odd that they have been pushing Jam, but they haven't been keeping their retailers supplied with Maschine Studios. Maybe something is going on. Who knows?

 

In the past I've known locally that our music retailers will run low on certain NI products. Then they just wait on new stock. If they slashed the prices for the studio or have a sale I think we would know then if something came out new. Not sure has anything to do with Jam. I just think they are just promoting it since it's still new. I'm guessing here.

 

The MPC-X doesn't have a battery. The MPC Live has a battery. Batteries can be replaced. Unless you are implying the MPC Live has magic battery technology that doesn't allow it to be replaced.....

Jah, do the new mpcs allow predetermined length 'resampling', so you can set it to however many bars you want and not have to trim the end?

 

But that means you can only have 4 Samples if you want to create lets say a multi sampled Piano ?

 

That means you can create a multi-sampled piano using up to 512 sounds.

 

kinda disappointing that it does not stream samples directly from sd cards or usb; cos the sp505 had that back in 2002.

also seems like the connecting the device to the pc and going from controller mode to standalone should be improved.

the should of made the ram upgrade-able also
