nobody has really posted a vid on the fx yet, most include a little bit of that filter though... would be nice to see more about what the other fx can do/sound like

Nothing to show really. The FXs are currently the same as 1.9.

I don't know if you took me out of context, or if you really didn't read my post. I never said that the new hardware doesn't bring anything new to the MPC line. What I said was that, for me personally, the new MPC X doesn't bring anything new to the table, and I was specifically talking about overall ability. Besides being standalone, there is nothing that the MPC X can do that I can't do with what I am already using.

If you find a decent one post it. Everything I've listened to online that uses that X-Y pad sounds really bad.

If you actually used the MPC-X and stated it doesn't bring anything new to the table is one thing....based upon your comments...you haven't demo'd one.

I demo'd the MPC-X at NAMM. And as a previous MPC Ren user, it definitely brings something new to the table. Saying there is nothing that you can do on the MPC-X that you can't do on what you are already using...can be said about any product. But..we are still here talking about the MPC-X / Live.

There are two reasons that we are still talking about the MPC X:

    1. It still hasn't been released yet. If it had been, then half of the questions that people have would already have been answered.

    2. You keep BUMPING this thread as soon as interest in it starts fading away. Anyone can look at this thread and see that as soon as there is a gap in time, you post something new. Everyone here knows you are an UNPAID beta tester, but I've never in my life seen anyone promote a product that they weren't getting financially compensated for doing so as persistently as you.

I'm not a moderator, but honestly, after 62 pages, if I were, I would lock this thread. This doesn't feel like a conversation about music technology anymore. This feels like a sales pitch from a sleezy used car salesman.

Ha ha. Agree. It's so funny. Who keeps doing this and why?

I suggest Sweetwater it's way cheaper than 10k for 3 machines. A kid working at McDonalds can get a machine if that's their passion so I don't even know what you are trying to imply. Are you getting paid by NI? Or do you imply you are "paid" because you spent 10k? If so see my comment about McDonalds.

Nothing wrong with starting this thread. It's the constant bumping by our resident akai spammer that is humorously annoying.

Yeah, some people will buy it for the hype, and because it's new and shiney.
I had the other thread going ... it w
I think what he was saying is that he bought 3 Maschines over the years and made 10k worth in selling beats

I was refering to the comment about jah promoting for akai.. i was saying over the years i bought mpc 3000 paid around 3 thousand.. mpc 2000 fully loaded around 2200. And the mpc2500 loaded about 2400. Plus addons and customising..

I see nothing wrong with the thread it give NI users a comparison and good clean covo..

    Damn kid. Lol.

I do have to say tho that while he may be an unpaid beta tester I think testing prerelease hardware and software is a sort of compensation in itself especially for a gear head.

One of the reason Akai may give him this access is because he's been a known MPC cheerleader for years. That's not taking anything away from him he's been a fountain of information in this thread and that ultimately is what led me to cancel my Live preorder. There were aspects not being discussed anywhere or in videos that he was able to answer here. So I that respect this thread has been very useful.

That being said I do notice that when this thread is reaching the bottom he comes in a posts a video or something to bring it back to the top. Lol.

Not sure how Maschine rolled our the Studio when it came out, but since the unveiling of the Live and X (particularly the X)here has been hardly any new info and more secrets than answers, especially regarding the software.. gotta say my interest has kinda cooled down, and they should have anticipated this would happen... if they weren't ready, they should have waited. Maybe they pushed for a Namm release because they know another xompany is going to release hardware later in the year... who knows. All those who think companies are any better than NI at customer interaction, check the mpc forums... people are just as upsetover there at Akai as we get here at NI, maybe even more so since there are many more hardcore users and fans. All these companies have problems with communication... the grass is always greener on the other side.

There are over 20 active threads on the main page alone. There is nothing compelling anyone to read this particular thread. For those that read it looking for more info, I will continue to share whatever I can. I will also continue to post video links of those who are currently testing / reviewing the new MPCs....

What do you mean specifically? The plugin version can already route 32 channels into a DAW.

There is plenty of information available..much of it is buried in this thread. If you have some questions...I will answer them if I can.
