MultiTrack Drum Instrument

Is it possible to create a multi track drum instrument from scratch?
I recorded 8 channel samples of my drums, and i want to control them in kontakt with the same features as AR 60s Drums. (Individual channel control with volume, panning, output, and articulation selection via midi learn.

Absolutely but be prepared to do some work to get it to sound as good as any of the collections that come with Kontakt.

Aside from the Kontakt manual, are there any additional resources available which contain instructions on programming an advanced instrument like this?

I used the 60s drums as a model to record my own individual drums and their associated articulations; each with 7 velocities @ 6 variations each.

All of the samples are sliced and ready to export from Logic 9.

I don't know of additional resources that would specifically help you with this, but if you poke around inside the AR instrument you may be able to figure out enough of how they did it to then remove their samples and insert your own, thereby taking advantage of all the AR features but with your custom drum sounds.
