Roughly an additional 75% of the original case but this one is much larger. For a custom case it is pretty cheap.

Any company specialized in building flightcases should be able to create something similar tailored to your needs. I am in the Netherland, in case you are as well it's made bij Kolthof geluid en techniek which can be reached by email henk.kolthof@planet.nl

Some pictures of last night gig...

That is an awesome case. I think I'm gonna have to build one, anything you would change now you've used it?

I went for maximum protection with 10mm wood but that also made it extra heavy, I would go back to 7mm just to reduce the weight. I can still carry it on my own but considering the weight comes 90% of the case itself. On the other hand a simple trolly in the back of the car does the job as well.

heres oneI made recently from what was essentially my old bed! (mdf)

For the gigs where room is already at a premium then obviously not use this and I would split the gear and take in smaller bags etc... but I have a few regular gigs that I can just rock up with this into the house mixer...

Applogies for the quality of the pictures and the mess (its not always this messy, during building my mrs wasnt a happy bunny at all)

    designed to house
    S4 Kontroller
24" LCD display (monitor is a quick release Vesa mount to stows away in the lid )
the Screen mount is on a movable arm that can live under the S4 when not needed or in transit)

Macbook pro (currently have 13 but swapping for a 17 this week
2TB hard drive and mains points and PSUs sunk behind the Macbook screen out of site

I will post hi res pics when I have a spare minute :)

Nice. I really don't like it to have my laptop in front of me. I prefer it on the left.

If it's in front of me, I'm almost forced to look at my laptop all the time. Jut put it on the side, so I can look at it whenever I want.

Mine is heavy but that was the intention, maximum protection and easy setup. I put mine on a keyboard stand next the CDJ's if there is not that much room on the table.
I don't always use the case, when I am hired for a set of an hour then I only bring the S4 and X1 in a soft bag. The case has my preference when spinning an entire night and I can setup the booth the way I prefer it. The CDJ's and the DJM are also flightcased so when setup together with S4 case it looks professional but is also connected within minutes.
If you have to manually hook up the laptop, S4, x1, USB Hub, Audio8, External HD, Inear Monitor and wireless Mic as well as the CDJ's and DJM, it will take additional time when setting up in the beginning of the evening but also at the end of the night when you want to go home asap.

I really don't mind. Anybody with a custom case feel free to post it in this thread, always good to see what others come up with.
