Was a faithful companion for many years and I'll probably get her up and running again.

But I am strongly considering getting the FM 8 and have some questions:

    1. Is there a quick way to transfer sounds from the DX into the FM 8 in order to get my old fave sounds. Just wondering if the operator maps and settings are analagous.

    2. Is there a downloadable version of the synth that can be bought directly from NI?

Thanks EW. I have a Mac G 5 still running Panther 10.3.9. Would there be any functionality issues if I download this now OR if I upgrade to later OS version for the Mac at a later date?

And how do we back up the program if we purchase it this way. My Absynth and Reaktor and Pro-53 are all "in the box" so if something happens I can re-install. How would we re-install in the case of emergency?

As far as I know, it won't run on 10.3.9, sorry to say. 10.4.x is the minimum.

How do you back it up? Burn the installer to CD or archive it on another drive.
