Here are a few suggestions that may be useful to the FM8 community....or rather, the FM9 community....one day, perhaps!

    1. Pitch envelope levels to be adjusted by note. i.e. C0, C#1 etc. Currently levels are described numerically which doesn't correspond to how I understand pitch information. Also, if you are using microtonal tunings, then the pitch envelope levels should correspond with your tuning scale

    2. When envelopes are looping, it would be handy to see where in the loop the sound is playing. Arturia do this with a dot that moves along the line of the envelope

    3. The ability to modulate effects parameters with envelopes/LFO's as well as changing the order of effects

    4. A wider variety of effects, perhaps making them patchable per operator, or even better.....the ability to patch them individually to the matrix

    5. When syncing effects, can we please sync to tempo divisions with a greater range? 64th's up to 8 bars as in most other NI products

    6. More sources for the morphing graph. Including the timbre settings found in the Easy/Morph section as well as effects/arp parameters

    7. Unlimited operators. Why stop at 6?

    8. More comprehensible filter with seperate routings per operator. The ability to use it as 2 seperate filters could be interesting

    9. A sample playback module. Yes, we have audio in but a self-contained solution would be better

    10. A hardware unit so we can don't have to stare at the screen to play around with FM

As I said originally....one day. Perhaps

I am getting tired of NI killing off their popular titles. Of course, in all technology, everything is subject to change but there's still a lot of possible enhancements that could happen before the grim reaper is summoned.

Saying that, i'm probably in favour of NI amalgamating everything into one super synth/sampler/sequencer/effect/daw as long as they don't kill it off and replace it with something very similar every 5 years.
