    Hi,

I just bought an I-AXE 393 and can't get it to work on my Mac OS 10.4.11

I have been looking at this forum and see a few people have been having problems with that OS.

I have spent quite a bit of time playing with the settings with no luck, if I change the sound card settings to in-built it just squeals anything else produces no sound at all.

I just want to get the combos going and lay down some tracks, is it true I need to buy 'Guitar Rig 3' to record?

I would really appreciate if anyone out there can help me out with this, I'm frustrated.

    Thanks a lot,

    Shaun

You need to use their ASIO driver. Have you installed it, Shaun?

Sorry to butt in, but is there an ASIO driver for Mac? Isn't that just a Windoze thing? I think it's just CoreAudio on the Mac.

I-AXE is Behringer, right? It's my understanding that they don't support the Mac OS. That may have changed, but you may want to check out their site and ask on their forum.

That being said, I have GuitarRig 2 & 3 and they work great with my regular guitar & cable plugged straight into my sound card (or EFX) with OSX 10.4.11.

That is not true, the iAXE does support the mac, but this is not the proper place to discuss this, you need to contact Behringer. We can only provide support on the Guitar Combos application itself.

So do we need to install asio drivers or not?

I do not know...I'm sorry, but you will need to contact Behringer.
