Hey all, I've been absent from this forum for a while because I didn't have a computer that could satisfactorily run GR. Now I do! I've been using GR5 a lot and have found a few annoyances, and thought of a few features. This'll be a long post, so someone at NI please read.

    Workflow:
    - saving presets is tedious and discourages me from making a lot of experimental presets. How it was in GR2 and 3 was great. Some kind of auto save feature would be very useful too, as I often tweak my presets but forget to save when I change to another preset.

    - saving component presets is terribly confusing. I used to be able to overwrite the INIT preset with my own. Can't seem to do that now, and the defaults sound terrible or make no sense (why wouldn't a default volume pedal have a minimum volume of 0?). Also, there's really no need to have banks of components. Just populate the list with a few suggested presets and let us delete those if we don't use them. we can save to the same list.

    - thank you for the favorites tab! In real life, when guitarists buy all their components to make their unique personalized tones they always go to these select few pieces of hardware. I think the favorites tab reflects that. I have my top 10 items in it, and I can make most of my presets using these alone. No improvement needed here, just a thank you.

    - the container is awesome as well, but needs some clarity in the UI. I never know what an arrow is going to do.

    Inconsistencies:
    - The container buttons don't seem to have a latch/momentary option for tap tempo.

    - renaming the RK switches is semi-permanent. If I rename them, for a preset, then clear the rack to start a new preset, I would expect the names of the RK pedals to return to default names.

    - renaming a button or knob on the container should transfer to the RK pedal if I assign a switch to one of the buttons.

    Features:
    - container NEEDS to be able to switch through it's presets, like a preset within a preset. This would be the only reason to have banks for a component - but this is a unique component. The immidiate application would be being able to cycle through sub-presets for sections in the rack - cycle through wah > pitch > volume in the pre, cycle through amps, cycle through modulations, cycle through delays with different times programmed in, cycle through different volume pedals for incremental/decremental volume changes. This has the potential to become a very powerful tool!

bug - if the psychdelay is in reverse mode, sometimes it will play back what is in it's memory everytime you turn it on.
    ---
workflow - Guitar rig used to remember unsaved presets if I closed out accidentally or it crashed. Now it opens up a saved preset with [] brackets around the name (what does that even mean?)
    ---
btw, if you need any beta testers, I'll work for free.

workflow - the on/off buttons on all moduels are way too small. They should at least be the size of a container button. I'm using a touch-screen convertible laptop (quite wonderfully!) and everything is easy to to except for turn on/off components and assign them to a switch.

AND what if the learn function was a default behavior if you click and hold something. click-and-hold on a knob, move the pedal, release click, learned. click-and-hold a on/off button, step on a switch, release click, learned. just a thought.
