    Hi

The attached picture shows my dream of a Maschine addon controller.

Its mainly a step light sequencer.

You can also control 16 parameters of a loaded vsti (more pages with < > buttons).

The goal is to get the best control over midi notes and midi data.

Seperate buttons for note, velocity, length, noteshift which set them for the 16 knobs.
All four data should be shown at once in the displays.

Button for midifx PER STEP like roll, flam, midi echo, repeat, etc...

Button for controler data and vsti data which can be set PER STEP.

Button for a midi envelope PER STEP which sends adsr envelopes which can be
alligned to continous controlers, pitchbend data and vsti data.

Chord button which lets you select from a list of chords PER STEP or overtake the chord which is pressed on a midi keyboard.

Track lenght button to set the amount of steps per track.
So you be able to have in example 7 steps for track one and 16 steps for track two.
    This allows cool polyrhythms.

Button for midi lfo´s which can be aligned to continous controlers, pitchbend data and vsti data.

Arp on/of button (should also show the arp menue).

< > buttons to scroll through 128 steps.

16 static non endless knobs to control all important sample forming parameters of the selected pads.
So you can be in every menue what you want and can simultaneously control in example the cutoff frequency without switching to the sampler menue.

Seperate button for static step randomize (seperated for note, length, velocity, noteshift etc..).

Seq,Sampler,VST,Mixer buttons to switch between the data which should be shown in the displays and can be controled with the 16 knobs.

I think it's really cool that you made that, and the idea is really interesting, but what time machine did you step out of?

In a world where Octopus and Nemo exist, and where Numerology Pro and a Launchpad can be had for less than 10% of what an Octopus costs, or an iPad plus Genome MIDI sequencer for not much more, step sequencing 1982-style without the ability to just punch in steps and get immediate led feedback seems kind of quaint.

However, your version obviously offers things that the products I mentioned don't, and it is a very cool mockup.

very cool. I would buy one but I'd only use it as a midi controller. you better get a patten on that!
