My own sounds and samples in Maschine?

Ok, I'm a complete newbie to Maschine, but get well on with it already. There is just one thing I can't figure out, even after reading the manual: How do I import my own sounds and samples into Maschine's Lib? (What's the difference between sounds and samples anyway?) Do I have to record them? How do I record a file from the hard disk?

In the top left of the browser it's says lib and like disc or someshit. Click on the disc box from there you can select samples you have on your comp you will have to highight folders or single samples and then click import from there you can tag your samples for easy access.
