I have gone thru and made 3 new banks. Clean, distorted rythm, and distorted lead, and used some factory presets I liked and created some of my own and saved them in the 3 banks I created in GR4. I did this on my laptop, and I want to transfer these to my desktop in my studio. Where on my hard drive would I find these banks so I can copy them to my USB stick to move them to my desktop.

    Thanks,
    Russell

Thank you for your answer. In this location I found all the presets I had made, which is a step in the right direction. But when I created these presets in GR4 on my laptop, I created 3 new tags or categories named RB Clean, RB Dist Lead, RB Dist Rythm, and placed presets in each depending on how I would use it. When I found all my presets I had made they were all in one group with no way other than trying to judge from the name of the preset or loading and playing each one to tell which category they belong in, so if I import them into GR4 on my desktop computer I wil not know which category to put them in. Is there some place each tag or category can be saved or already is saved as a bank and can be loaded as a bank into GR4 on my desktop computer.

    Thank You Very Much
    Russell

Bump: Does anyone have the answer to my last question right before this one at the end of this post about preset banks and how and where they are stored. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

When I copy my presets from my desktop to my laptop the banks get copied too. Here's the procedure I use:

    Close Guitar Rig.
    Delete the
    "My Documents\Native Instruments\Shared Content\Sounds\Guitar Rig 4"
    folder on my laptop.
Replace it with the folder I've copied from my desktop.
    Start Guitar Rig.
Click "Options" -> "Scan for new Presets".

Then everything shows up in the right banks! It might not be necessary to do all of those steps, but it seems to work.

Thanks for your response. I will hopefully have time tomorrow to try this out to see if it works for me.
