Like many others I have had the issue of not being able to get Native Access started in Windows 10. As others have noted, the icon would appear in the task bar, but the program would never start and the icon would soon disappear. I looked at all the support articles here and around the web, but none of them helped it get started on my computer. After much experimentation, I stumbled on a method that works by accident: 1. Do a fresh install, right click to run as administrator. 2. Set your computer to air-plane mode (Or otherwise disable the internet) 3. Run Native Access (right click to run as admin) 4. Native Access will hopefully actually load now, but won't be able to connect to the internet 5. Disable airplaine mode/reconnect to the internet. 6. Click the retry button in Native Instruments. Hopefully Native instruments will now load as usual and be working properly. Joy. After doing this my Native Access loads normally without having to do this trick, until NI update the program. Then when Native Access tries to download the new update, it goes back to its old behaviour of not starting. I then need to download the newest version manually here - https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access/ and repeat the process. As of the most recent version 1.8.0 I did not have to do this method to start, but who knows what will happen when it updates, I predict it will go back to the behaviour of not starting and I will need to reinstall the newest version manually. I had a further frustration with this yesterday, when Native Access was looking for the recent version 1.8.0, and trying to install it, but the manual install was only of the previous version. As of today the newest version is available for the manual install. This is all pretty frustrating to deal with, especially due to the expense of the software that Native Access regulates. I have wasted a lot of time with this, and I get kind of scared every time I load the program that I won't be able to access my software. This has been a long running problem for a lot of people, it seems, and I really hope NI have fixed it with this most recent update, or will fix it ASAP. They could at least put a version number on the download page (https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access/) to inform users. I hope this helps anyone with the same issue.
