    hi
new to reaktor and totally stoked. still learning anyway

question-- is there any reason NOT to unite the "new additions" and "classic" ensemble folders?

    thanks

Arrange the ensembles so it suits your needs!

I've copied the ensembles provided by NI into my own folder system.

    welcome to the forum :D

i would leave the original folders untouched

    why?

if you make any edits to these Ensembles and want to save those edits, please save under an amended name in your user folder. by doing that you at least have the originals untouched.

also, if there are any Reaktor updates that write new data to these Ensembles (which happened with the 5.1.5 release), the installer will know where to find the originals.

so my long winded reply suggests that you do copies of all these Ensembles and put them in your Reaktor user folder. and in that folder, you can arrange your ensembles as you wish ;)

Yes, by all means don't save anything in the NI folders. If you uninstall you loose them or an update might overwrite the whole folder.... you never know...

sorry, i just realised it was 5.1.4:

    - Fixed a MIDI clock synchronization bug occurring in some hosts
where Reaktor's sequencers sometimes would exhibit some staggering.

i think a few of Reaktor's "groove" boxes were amended.
