    hi guys,

me again, i'v been on the fence about buying traktor for some time now, i'm scared i wont be taken seriously, i jus wondered if its such a stiff learining curve setting up a midi controller to control the functions on the screen?

it looks really impossible to get all they buttons and knobs running with whats on the screen to me like, i've been a strait up mix in, mix out dj for 4 years and i'm dubious as to wether i'll be able to use the program to its full capabilities. all this jargon and midi ect scares me some what. anyone felt my pain and got by it?

    cheers people :D

I reckon you're best having a play with Traktor first and working out what controller suits you best.

For example, I love my feena controller, it does all that I need it to do but it doesn't have any of those spinny wheel bits so it certainly wouldn't suit everyone.

I think PRO is a great leveller. Its got all of us baffled in some respects.
No-one is a T Pro expert i dont think. Thats why people are getting so worked up cus they arent used to been noobs which to be honest we all are again. I think its FUN.

I have a timecode setup as well as a controller setup and i have barely looked at the timecode part yet. Im still mapping the controller and the keyboard and i havent even looked at modifiers yet.
But its all one big learning curve. Im a very cautious person.

Ill get the contoller setup cracked off then ill do the timecode setup.

I say buy it, it's great. And setting up a midi controller is really easy.

My only advice would be not to read this forum, all the "issues" that people seem to be having nearly put me off buying it!

But seriously it is a top bit of kit. And no I'm not paid a commission from NI!

Hey Mutley, how's the build quality of the ddm4000. Normally I shun Behringer but people seem to love it.
