    Hello,
I am trying to recover some important libraries that were accidentally deleted, but Native access shows that they are still installed and will not let me re-download them. I have tried reinstalling Native Access and removing the libraries from Kontakt, all to no avail. Can anyone help here?

not sure if you're on a mac or pc, but on a mac this was happening to me. I had to go to computer - Mac HD - Library - Preferences
then within the folder, find the .plist files for the libraries it says are installed that aren't. Check your user library as well by holding the option key, click go (top of the screen) click Library here, find and delete similar .plist files here. Now close and re-open Native Access. It should show up under your uninstalled window now.

if you're on PC, then I'm not sure, but imagine you would find the same files wherever they exist. I've had to do this multiple times for failed downloads/ activations. hope this helps

    Hi,

You can follow this article for uninstalling products fully: https://support.native-instruments....Software-and-Drivers-from-a-Mac-OS-X-Computer

Just deleting the content of the product is not enough. Certain "plist" files will be left on your OSX system which make Native Access believe your product is actually still installed. We have some "automated fixing" planned for Native Access which should take care of these kind of problems.

I am experiencing the same issue on a PC. Running the Microsoft uninstall troublehshooter does no good. As far as Windows is concerned, the Reaktor ensembles such as Prism, Monark, etc., don't exist but Native Access insists they are installed.

Come on, NI, get it together. If you know this is an issue, then make Native Access comply with the way systems uninstall.

I am sitting here unable to complete a project because i can't install a product because your software says it is installed. That's insane.

You have to figure out the location of the PLIST/XML/registry files for windows. They store the app preferences. I assume they are located in: username\AppData\Roaming\. A registry cleaner might help but certain program are more Apple dedicated.

    Neerav,

could you try following the guide and then restart your computer?

Native Access definitely *can't* show products if the plists are deleted... So, there must be something left on your computer...

I did exactly as the guide says and i restarted my laptop also as soon as i completed all the steps in the guide but still I'm facing the problem.

My Maschine 2 software isnt detecting any of the deleted plugins or libraries but my Native Access is still showing that those are installed.. I've searched almost every folder in my laptop for plist files but i couldn't find one also.

Now i dont have almost 7-8 of my plugins or libraries which i use!

    Kindly help me..

Although it took me months to figure out the issue with uninstalling j-bridge (it kept crashing maschine so I gave up on it), I took the time to do keyword searches on plugin name (Trilogy) that was showing when the annoying "unable to locate..." would pop up. After keyword searching in obvious places (drives, known vst folders, common files etc), I did a search on my "user" folder (if you name your computer it may show that name) and somehow a Trilogy .dll file was in there. I removed it and bam, no more annoying pop up and sound of death at start up.

I am having this issue with libraries that I deleted. I phsyically deleted them from my hard drive but they still show up in Native access. I also uninstalled them as they do not appear in my applications. For instance, I downloaded a patch called Casette Mallets and I uninstalled it and deleted the entire file from my hard drive yet it still shows up in native access. It would be nice if Native access had an option that allowed us to delete those files from native access or at the very least Hide them

Interesting...Here it is 2018, almost 2 yrs and this issue has not yet been resolved. Why isn't Kontakt 5 or the Service Center not able rescan the library folder and remove any references to deleted libraries?? Hello anybody at NI listening in?????

I am able to uninstall stuff on Windows 10 properly using the Windows "uninstaller" functions, without issue -- two years later.

Yeah, this is some serious bullshit. I have deleted the Marble Rims folder from my iMac with OS High Sierra, attempted to delete the Marble Rims folder from the Mashine Library, and tried deleting with Native Access. Why in the hell can't you remove expansions with Native Access? It let's me repair and re-download, but it won't allow to uninstall. I love my new Maschine MK3, but not allowing us to uninstall things we don't want is not cool at all. This has wasted about 3 hours of my time Googling solutions, but none exist...

This is how I found out how to remove from my Maschine Library and Native Access...

    - Macintosh HD / Library / Preferences / com.native-instruments.marblerims.plist

It really should't be this hard. There should be an uninstall option from Native Access. When are you guys going to program that option in?

This is a long after the fact reply, but maybe someone on the forum will find this helpful.

My situation- building a new Root volume for my Mac Book Pro while keeping my old system intact for a while while working on the new one. I'm going to a new OS (mojave) so trying to get all my Komplete 11 stuff working on the new drive. I wanted to do a clean install of all the apps without having to re download all the libraries, I did remove all the files recommended by NI support, but top no avail. Native Access always thought that I still had everything installed, so relocate or repair functions weren't available.
    What finally worked:
1.I went into prefs in Native Access and updated the locations for Downloads, Programs and Content to reflect my new drive and Library locations.
2.I deleted all the NI Content from my old HD per the https://support.native-instruments....Software-and-Drivers-from-a-Mac-OS-X-Computer support article.
    3.I deleted Native Access.
4.I Then copied the program content from a backup of my applications/Native Instruments folder to the new system. Did the same with application support/audio/plug ins/components and application support/audio/plug ins/VST.
5.I opened each product in standalone. (This creates new preference files referencing the new location?)
    6.Re-installed Naive access.

So far I have just opened Logic, but this fix seems to have worked for all the NI content. I'll add to this if I have more to report. Hope this is helpful.

And, YES NI NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS. So many freakin posts about the same problem for YEARS. Sheesh.
