Yes it does, I have been playing with it at home for a couple of weeks now. I like how BIG the wave form is and the fact that one sits under the other one. you can get a quick visual of how things are lined up. I could never understand the importance of this until I got hands on with it. Torg cant touch Traktor at the moment as far as how scratching sounds using a midi controller.

right now just a gaming keyboard, laptop and traktor. i wanna stick with traktor but ill c what comes out in the near future. id like a midi controller that can use all of traktors 4 decks, mixer with inputs, and mic input would b nice but i can live without it

so far from whats coming out im aiming for the VCM 100 or now maybe the vci-300, pretty much has all i need, jog wheels i can live without also.

i find traktor has the finest pitch, with torq i had to constantly be pitch bending for long mixes

I dj'd for a couple of years in a small club with just a gigaport ag sound card and my labby's keyboard.(at time when no one was using labby's in my area,) I had no complaints from the crowd or club just other djs.

Yeah a controller with inputs, mic input and master eq would be great for my mobile gigs.

vcm 600 has my vote as the only decent thing that i have seen so far. there is nothing groundbreaking about stantons stuff and all the other stuff seems like it is all the same

OMFG -- according to beatportal, initial reports indicate the price fo the Stanton digital mixer/turntable combo will be about $2500. The hell with that.

Yea Im hopeful that mixer/controller is worth its price > if so It might be just what I need. More info anyone? Any one @ namm talk to the stanton guys about it? OR picked it up and shook it around?

I hope to have a set to test real soon and will give the scoop on build quality and performance.

OK, so we've all had a few days to digest what was announced at NAMM, SOME good exciting stuff, some, not so much. Were you whelmed, overwhelmed or underwhelmed? Seems to be a quiet consolidation year for NI again with only Kore products get any news, and nothing at all from the DJ Division. So the big question... what does all this mean for you? Does the new gear have you saving to buy some of it? Are you get ready to change DJ platforms or adopt a new one? Where does the continued lack of a comprehensive hardware controller for Traktor (sans the jog wheels) leave you?

Alas, no intriguing controller solutions for a DJ like myself that uses a separate mixer. :(

Not impressed with any of the releases or much of anything in any other sound related categories. Not even Apple computers.

It seems clear that the hardware manufacturers have hitched their wagons to Stanton but made allowances for Traktor, which for the long haul doesn't bode well for Traktor.

Traktor COULD be the killer app for Stanton's SC if NI codes in native support for it. MIDI isn't going to cut it unfortunately. No one wants to buy a $1500 platter controller and then be limited by the kind of control Traktor currently offers. Feedback will also have to be more widely implemented. I expect Mixvibes and Deckadance to have native support for it soon (if it isn't already in the apps, I'm not clear about that). And I can see Serato jumping on as well, since they already have an established protocol and have made similar deals with companies like Denon, Pioneer, and Numark. I don't see Torq supporting it natively, but who knows.

I don't know why they've listed Ableton as compatible software. Not that it isn't, just that these don't lend themselves to working in Ableton. But obviously Stanton has talked to them, so maybe the roadmap for these things includes stuff like an add on box for clip triggering - something to be paired to the mixer unit instead of the platter controller. Purely speculation, but I don't understand it otherwise (the mention of Ableton Live).

For me I'm not interested in the MIDI turntable; I've got my eye on that MIDI mixer/controller. But not for $1K I don't.

Even so, it still stands. The mixer requires alot of feedback and special support if it's to work at it's full capability. That support needs to be coded into the apps we use (either using MIDI or another protocol).

    I don't think so!

I really doubt that NI is going to invest time and people to make this controller from Stanton work. It would have to be on Stanton's end. NI is having enough problems JUST TRYING TO STABILIZE Traktor 3.3 yet alone invest more time to making third party controller interface work with their software. Because Stanton was partners with NI maybe they are well versed in the software and we will be able to have good support. What I would like is for NI to work with a third party Hardware manufacture and work from the ground up in building a controller together.

Very true! And I wish I could believe that NI would build that in, but I don't see it as likely. But if the thing lets me assign MIDI and output MIDI to the LEDs, I can deal. Control-wise I don't see it as all that much over my Bitstream 3x, except for the lighted feedback, but the built-in soundcard is very appealing, as I'm big on consolidation, since I'm finding that setting up to laptop DJ in clubs takes enough fiddling, and isn't allowed enough space, to start to weigh against the convenience of CDJing. Here I am with a soundcard, Traktor, Faderfox, laptop, and cables, and I end up jealous as hell of a guy who brings a CD book and just pops 'em in and goes. Suddenly I ain't so edge.

So I'm a bit dissapointed in the NAMM show, I was hoping that a new midi controller would finally come out with all the options I need but it doesn't look that way.

So far my eyes are on Vestax vci-300 or the vcm-100.

What i was hoping for is something like the Behringer BCD 3000 but with 4 audio in's and much better sound quality.

I've been looking for a controller for about 2 years and have been waiting out for something with all options I will need.

I'm sick of waiting and sick of using my gaming keyboard to DJ! LOL!

Oh well I hope the vcm-100 is released soon.

Wow, if ever there was a year to miss NAMM, it looks like I picked the right one! I haven't seen anything -- hardware or software -- that makes me think I lost out by not going. That's kind of sad.
