Yeah, you probably right. I distinctly remember my D2's waveform lagging pretty bad. Mmmm, I guess depends on the Mac OS/Traktor version/Firmware maybe?

Not that I will change my stance on them.. I just wanted to know if other users expierenced the same issue.

Yeah that's an interesting one... It's a pretty pointless thing to do as well, because you can just use A&C or B&D instead. inconvenient but not too bad...

Tbh I've never really seen the point of the waveforms on the controller, as you can just look at your laptop and get a full-colour waveform...

I've been away for a while on here. Just passing through to see if anythings' new.

I too am waiting for something new from Traktor cause I'm at the end of the line with most of my gear and it's time to make a decision on what I would like to retire with.

I've been mostly using Traktor dj with my S2 mk2 on my iPhone and would love to see a serious update here also. Actually I've been doing a lot with the phone now because it's just very portable. When I want to use timecode or any of my old gear I got to use win7, when gigging Mac +s2mk2.

I do believe that NI is cooking up something good for Traktor. Maybe it's taking a little bit longer because they want to really make it right in a time where things are changing quickly and people are very critical. A lot of new gear has been released lately.

    My hopes are:

Tight integration between Traktor Dj and Traktor Pro (or whatever it will be called)

More Partnerships with third parties. I think of a Traktor version of the new Pioneer ddj1000 controller.

    Music mangement upgrades.

What ever it is bring it on. Sooner than later.

One of my favorite features of the D2 is the screen!
I can put the laptop to the side and won't have to look at it.

Same here. Hate these "laptop in front of the DJ Serato Faces" so much.....

I don't see the point of screen on the D2 either. What's the difference between looking at the laptop or the controller? Just put the computer on the right side and you good to go

Yeah I have to agree with you haha, 'Serato-face' is annoying and can be a hard habit to shift.

Having said that, I find that I personally spend less time looking at the screen if I'm able to quickly browse my music. I always found the D2 browsing pretty pointless as you'd use an encoder rather than a swift scroll on a trackpad.

Each to their own of course, but never really found D2s to be an efficient solution in a club environment. Great features on them, don't get me wrong, but very clunky.

I have the D2s right next to my mixer, so it's easy to get a quick glimpse at the screens when needed.
The Laptop is a little further off to the right, so I'd have to step to the side when ever I need something.
Not a big deal - I had the X1s before and it worked, too - but I enjoy the convenience.

Totally understand that for touring purpose, these are a lot bigger and heavier that the X1s.
I don't tour, so no problem for me.
I would even say I liked the size and weight when I unboxed them - perceived quality, I guess :D
